Demi Lovato just came out with her non-binary announcement. She is a They now.
Does anyone really care?
Is Demi Lovato so full of themselves (is that right???) that they do not see that too much information may be just that? Too much information.
I never, ever, wondered what people were doing in their bedrooms, behind closed doors. I always felt that it was not any of my business. And it is not that interesting anyway.
But then, the news is bombarding the public with celebrities’ sex preferences.
Demi Lovato may love whoever she, sorry, they want to. Can’t they do it privately? Please?
After that announcement, the next time I hear one of her songs, and may be tempted to buy it, I will remember that she loves them all. Her status as an artist will be shadowed by her love life.
I am not judging her. But I can no longer relate to her.
Will I buy anything she sings in the future? I doubt it. Wait… no… I do not doubt. I know I will not.
Lady Gaga shares a sad story about her past. Rape. Pregnancy. Abuse. Very sad.
A story that happened to countless young anonymous women. Women that do not have the means, nor the time, to deal with the trauma inflicted upon them. Women busy working, trying to survive, and raising their kids.
Isn’t Lady Gaga the singer that spat in the face of whoever was considering voting for Trump in 2020, with an ad featuring a pick-up truck and beer?
I did not find it very clever on her part to belittle half the population, but then, she may be so out of touch with the country she lives in, she may have thought that her little number was cute?
America loves beer. To a tune of $94 billion in 2020.
America loves pick-up trucks. This Forbes article says that they now account for 20.1% of the new car market.
And at least half of America loves President Trump.
Why did Lady Gaga think for a second that alienating half the country was a good idea? Did she need the money so badly? I assume she was paid for that tasteless performance, wasn’t she?
Lady Gaga should have talked with Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro. Those two were superstars of past gone caliber. Then they went over the hills with their hate for Trump.
They still featured in some films. These flopped sadly. Streep and De Niro are done.
Should I mention Madonna? Did not hear from her much for a while now.
What about politics in sports? Should they kneel? Should they disrespect the flag, the country, and the people that pay to watch them play? Is that a sound business decision?
Entertainers may want to wake up.
They are paid to distract us. They are paid to amuse us.
We do not pay them to insult us. We do not pay them for their political views. We do not pay them for their gender affiliations.
There are a lot of celebrities out there nowadays. Any one of them is easily replaced, easily forgotten.
Dear celebrity, do what is best for you.
- Excel at your craft.
- Do not over share… a little mystery never hurts.
- Keep your political opinions to yourself.
- Know your public.
- Be humble.
- Always remember that your public made you. Your public may as easily ditch you.
- Your money was once our money. Remember that you want us to keep on buying what you are selling.
- Respect us.
- Do not believe for one second that your opinions matter much… if at all.
