January 19, 2021
January 6, 2021 ended a very sad day.
It started full of optimism. Tens of thousands of people, supporting the President they elected, gathered in solidarity. They were full of hope that their display would bring a little justice.
For years, they felt demonized by their own neighbors for simply being republicans. They were belittled for liking their President. They were made fun of. They were ridiculed by the Medias, the Hollywood “stars”, their own coworkers.
January 6th, they gathered. They listened to their President. They felt good about themselves. That day, they really hoped they would be seen. They really hoped that their sheer number would change something.
Maybe, just maybe, they could get some answers as to what really happened during the election in November?
That day, they still believed in justice. They still believed in their constitution. They even wanted to still believe in their representatives, these senators and congressmen that they elected.
They went to the U.S. Capitol.
They did not destroy statues. They did not burn cars. They did not loot stores. They did not desecrate American flags.
They only wanted to be heard and seen. They only wanted to be taken seriously.
They voted, and they believed that they won, no matter that the press was saying otherwise. They all saw the videos showing votes pulled from under tableclothed tables late at night. They saw votes getting adjusted and disappearing on their TV screens.
They did not know what to think. They wanted answers, but their Supreme Court Justices denied to even hear their case.
They went to the U.S. Capitol.
There were no answers to be had at the Capitol that day.
The Press, all mighty, screamed outrage!
Where was the Press when cities went up in flames, business were vandalized, people attacked during the miserable riots praised by the democrats in the spring and summer of 2020?
Where do we go from here?
A possible scenario:
Biden will be inaugurated. He must be.
There was not a chance that the politicians, anywhere in the U.S., would have sided with President Trump. To do so, to admit that there may have been fraud, would have opened a door that no politician wants to open. To admit to potential electoral fraud would simply destroy the structure of the government and, most importantly, the livelihood of the career politicians.
There was not a chance that corporations richer than governments, corporations that donated very generously to the Biden campaign, corporations that donate even more generously to the democratic party, corporations that now do not want to donate to the republican party, corporations that own the press, would have allowed the result of this election to be challenged.
Biden will be inaugurated.
Biden will raise taxes. Can this President, stained by accusations of corruption and a potentially fraudulent election, raise taxes?
The official 74 million Trump voters will grumble. The regular guy at the bar that does not bother to vote will grumble. Republican states will grumble. Even democrat Joe will grumble.
People will start moving to lower burden taxes states. Not only to try to save some money. They will flee to feel more accepted, less criticized for their views and opinions. They will look for kindred spirits.
These states will welcome the people. These states will be Republican states. These states will start seriously looking at secession from the federal government.
The 2020 election will be known in the future as the election that started the end of the United States of America.
It may take a while. It will be done via lawyers and courts of law.
And it may be the best that could happen.
Who are the people that went to the Capitol?
Simple people wanting to live their lives in peace. Caring about their families above all, then their God, then their country.
Simple people that do not understand why their jobs are disappearing to foreign countries.
Simple people that are puzzled by how a career politician, earning a $200,000 yearly salary paid by “We the People”, can amass millions of dollars and buy luxury properties… unless…
Simple people that, starting with Mrs. Clinton calling then deplorables, are wondering now if they are even tolerated in their own birth countries.
Simple people that barely afford their families’ health insurances but hear that they may have to pay for illegal immigrants’ health insurances.
Simple people, but not stupid people.
If they are not wanted, why should they stay in a federation that silences them?
Will the federation be happy to see more than half the states and population go? Doubtful. A huge loss in revenues. Who will pay for the inflated federal government expenses?
Will that federal government, and its president, then threaten? Will it declare war on its own people? Or try to make amends? Apologize? Too little, too late?
